I had my routine OB check-up last night….and despite having to wait over 45 minutes to be seen (not a norm, just unusual circumstances), I was feeling pretty good.
So good, in fact, that after checkinig my blood pressure, my doctor asked “Are you happier?”
Definitely.
Key word here is happier. I haven’t had much (wink wink) to complain about in my life and at the end of every day, I’m still very very happy with the life I have. But his question had me reflecting a little bit last night as I settled into bed with the family.
I am happier.
My family is healthy. Things are finally changing. And despite all the demands that come with motherhood, I’m still able to live all the parts of me that make me ME. From exercising to photography, reading and quality time with family – I’m not missing anything. 🙂 And over the last few weeks, I have seen our little family unit come together and connect in a really great way. What more can a woman ask for?
Well, maybe continued healthy blood pressure reports. LOL
Oh and BTW, if you didn’t catch the news on Facebook……we are HAVING A BOY! Woot woot!
So glad that all is going well! One of each, who could be happier! 🙂
Thanks Libby! We are SOOO excited and can’t wait for our little ones to meet. 🙂
