10 Things About Me
and a brand new Chrrrrrissstmas Treee!
As the 12 Days of Blogmas starts to wind itself toward the end, I wanted to thank you for visiting A Mommentary Life and joining in the holiday fun. This post will give you a little more insight into me, the girl behind the blog.
10 Facts about Me
I bleed the red and gold of the San Francisco 49ers. Always
My dad didn’t have any boys so I got to watch Lakers basketball and 49er football with him growing up. Thanks dad!! I love being a sports chick.
I can hook my own bait on a fishing line.
He also took me fishing, crabbing and clamming every weekend when we lived in Seattle.
I love to run but would probably go faster & further if I walked. I suck at it.
I’m one of those people who take 4 hours to finish a half marathon….when running. LOL I’d like to say that’s a joke, but it’s not. If I’d just WALK the darn thing, I’d probably finish faster.
I once jumped off a cliff in Mexico and I loved it.
I didn’t KNOW we were going to jump off of cliffs, but that was the “surprise” during our zipline excursion.
I also rappelled down a waterfall in Costa Rica
Oh man, I knew I was signing up for this but this was scary and tough. With the waterfall spraying water into my face the entire time and the face of the mountain slick with water, it was hard to work my way down to the bottom. I remember hanging there thinking “If I can survive this, I can survive anything”. LOL
And jumped out of a plane in Hawaii
I crossed it off my bucket list and would happily stay on firm, solid ground. 🙂 It was exhilarating, terrifying and amazing all at once.
I dream of Italian Villas and Maui Sunsets
Always.
Anne of Green Gables is my favorite childhood story
I love Anne’s sense of adventure and vivid imagination. The movies are my favorite rainy day activity and Anne & Gilbert are the sweetest couple in literary history. 🙂
Elizabeth Bennett is my #1 favorite literary heroine
But Lizzie Bennett is the character I most identify with. Loving, independent and confident in who she is —- even when she’s stubborn and prideful.
Motherhood is my greatest adventure and accomplishment
All of my adventures pale in comparison to being a mother. It’s an ongoing adventure, an incredible learning and humbling experience and my greatest pride.
Wow, so much adventure!!! How fun. I have to say that I don’t think I would ever go skydiving. I am too afraid of heights. But yay to you for trying it!!
Each year I got more scared to do it. When I finally did, I knew deep down that if I waited, I’d never do it. LOL
I love waterfall rappelling, it’s amazing 🙂 You have a very active lifestyle!
We try to be very active. Life’s a great adventure. 🙂
