Dear Honu,
Best Friends are a wonderful thing. I hope you’re lucky enough to have people in your life that you can count on, confide in and laugh with all your life. I’m fortunate to have that and cherish & appreciate it so much.
Your daddy happens to be one of those people. Just the other night, he came home really late from work. And even though it was the middle of the night, we still spent a few minutes updating each other on our day and sharing some positive moments. I actually told him about how the doctor helped me hold your head in my hands at my doctor appointment. And every morning, he wakes me up with a glass of freshly blended fruit smoothies or a cup of coffee. A good man, that father of yours.
Then you have your Auntie Jen – who I don’t get to see as much as I like, but who knows how to help me through the best and worst of times. And who I can laugh with and talk to like we see and talk to each other every day.
And there’s your Auntie Virgie, Auntie Noemi and Lola Helen – who are fun to shop with, talk to and enjoy good cooking any day of the week.
I hope you find friendship, love and companionship from all kinds of relationships. They’re the food for your soul, baby girl. They add flavor to your life. 🙂
As always…
Love you!
Momma
