I had a mid-week “self-care” day this week with my mom & sister. Who else loves an occasional “me” day, raise your hand? It’s even better when it comes in the middle of the week.
It happened to be raining the day that we decided to head out so we did a quick online search for a place to eat & wait away the rain. That’s when we happened upon the Mill Valley Lumberyard.
Mill Valley Lumberyard
The Mill Valley Lumber Yard, with its historic roots and modern amenities, creates a welcoming retail village at the entrance to downtown Mill Valley. This property allows business owners to bring their vision to life and to create a shopping experience that draws customers from around the Bay Area and beyond. With stunning views of Mount Tam and a creek running throughout, this 1892 property creates a destination with a community feel. A delicious bakery and restaurant set the stage for people to linger and shop, with intimate seating areas, corn hole toss and historical points of interest scattered throughout. This is a place people want to come, no matter the time of day; to shop, eat, relax and enjoy the Mill Valley Lumber Yard.

This spot was adorable with its cute shops & eateries. We decided to enjoy lunch at the Water Shed and enjoyed the beautiful decor and delicious food.

By the time we finished, the rain had let up. We took the opportunity to explore the shop fronts & even enjoyed a sweet treat at Flour Craft.

I look forward to coming back and exploring it at my leisure and really enjoying the outdoor seating. If you get the chance to visit, come back and let me know how you liked it.
