On the Sixth day of Blogmas, your blogger brings to thee…..
6 Holiday Movies
and a brand new Chrrrrrissstmas Treee!
I love holiday movies! Today’s post will probably be one of my favorites. It’s time to create a list of your top six holiday movies. I can’t wait to see which ones we have in common!
Here are my Top 6 Favorite Holiday movies:
The Sound of Music. It’s not really a HOLIDAY movie – it just plays around Christmas time and I love it. I love the music, the dancing, the feel good emotions that come from this movie. My husband always sighs in exasperation that we’re watching it AGAIN but hey….you can’t mess with tradition. And the Sound of Music is a tradition.
The Polar Express. Oh, I remember vividly watching this as a young child. I recently watched the newer version and loved it just as much. The magic, imagination and faith that go hand in hand with the holiday season comes to life in this movie. I’m a huge fan of the book too.
Rudolf the Red-Nose Reindeer. Oh man, cartoons aren’t made this way anymore. I love this classic. Rudolf is so adorable and the animation warms my heart. The kids aren’t quite convinced yet, but they will be. 🙂
A Very Brady Christmas. Ha, don’t laugh. It’s a guilty pleasure. It’s cheesy, it’s awesome, it’s Brady.
The Holiday. Oh how I imagine myself swapping homes with someone and staying in a small town in Europe, in a small cottage in the middle of no where, meeting all the wonderful people. Yep. Just as much as I imagine staying in a fantastic house in Los Angeles, talking to celebrity neighbors and attending industry parties. The perfect Holiday movie, don’t you think? I’m a sucker for a romantic comedy and this one fits the bill.
It’s a Wonderful Life. And how can you not have It’s a Wonderful Life on your holiday list. The classiest of the classic. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen this but when I do, I just soak in it.
What are your favorite holiday movies??
Be sure to visit The Coastie Couple and The Petite Mrs who are hosting this season’s 12 Days of Blogmas Event.
I still have yet to see The Polar Express. Everyone seems to love it. But I do love The Holiday. It’s totally cute.
I love The Holiday! It’s one that I watch even in the off season because it’s that enjoyable. 🙂
It’s one of the few movies I love Cameron Diaz. And Kate Winslet is just adorable.
