Done! Was finally able to knock this book out. I thought it was a very quick, easy read. Nothing too heavy or complicated. I just had trouble getting through it quickly because I had setbacks with my schedule and my health. Once I was on a roll, I knocked it out.
I am glad that I read the book for fun. I didn’t have a lot of expectations for it. I can’t say I loved it, because it’s just so outside of what I would normally read, and I just don’t have the time to fit books like this into my reading time.
I can’t say I loved any of the characters. They were all pretty silly and cartoonish, that I didn’t feel there was a lot of depth there, or anything to relate to. Tommy seemed like a teenage kid most of the time, with his shallow thoughts and musings. I enjoyed how the characters were just basically smart asses for the majority of the book. Definitely lots of silliness going on.
Probably my favorite part of the book was Bummer the dog haha! He was a little character unto himself.
It was fun to read about San Francisco in such a cooky way!
