Good luck Mary! I know it will be a big step, but you will both embrace it in the end. You know we’ve never allowed Rhett in our bed (I don’t judge, I was just strict from the get-go about it). But, one thing you could do, which is what I do, is I go in there in the mornings (when we have time, mostly weekends), and get in bed and cuddle with him. And he loves it. If Scott tries to go in there, forget it! He wants his cuddle time with Mommy. I’ll take it while I can get it because, like you said, he’ll be grown up too fast and probably never even want me in his room. So, we still get cuddles and snuggles, and it’s like a little routine. If we have extra time, we read a few books together too. Maybe you could establish some kind of routine as incentive, like you go in and hang with her for Mommy/Daughter time when you can fit it in your mornings.
