Awww, cute Max! So glad he had a good birthday!! OMG, I saw crazy stories about Build A Bear last week. Did Max end up getting one? Or are you just going to get him one when the madness dies down?
I totally feel you. We are not doing a big party for Rhett this year. He really does not care about having a big party, I wanted a break from it, and he just wanted to go to a Braves game. We took him and his old preschool pal, Kalista, to a Braves game. It was “Sandlot” night to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the movie, so it was pretty crowded and we got a bobblehead 🙂 Kalista’s aunt is dating the Braves young, phenom rookie 2nd baseman, Ozzie Albies. So we got to meet him after the game in the family area. It was super cool! He was nice enough to sign a ball for Rhett. Rhett had a great birthday celebration!!
On his actual birthday, is the meet-and-greet for 2nd grade, where he finds out his teacher. So, he’s excited about that. The next day, he chose his favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot, for his fancy birthday dinner. And I’m having our cake lady make him some baseball cupcakes.
We always let him open his gifts earlier in July, so that he has time to play with them. Otherwise, he would be opening all his cool new stuff on the 30th, and then going to school the next day or two, leaving all of his new stuff to sit. So depressing! He got a Switch (Scott won it last year at work), so he’s learning all the new games. And a ton of Lego sets, which he loves. He built one set yesterday, the Lego Batman-Joker purple car. And he has a new set to build every day until school starts again 🙂
