Awww, yes, cherish them as long as you can. I feel like those moments go by so fast. We love to look at old photos and reminisce about all of the old toys and little kid things Rhett used to do. Rhett enjoys hearing me tell stories about all his little baby & toddler days.
For me, I think about all of that, but also how things have changed in awesome ways. Like the convos I can now have with Rhett on a more mature level. It’s so fun. And all of the little kid & toddler stuff that I DON’T miss.
OMG, yes! Taking showers is the best thing ever. We were motivated to make the change early because #1-we got tired of bending down to do the bath and #2-the baseball dirt got to be so nasty that I wouldn’t want Rhett sitting in it. He switched to a shower right at 5 years old. We actually practice spelling while he’s in there. We give him his words to spell & he makes use of the time by practicing 🙂
Rollercoasters! Yes!! It is so fun to ride the big rides with Rhett, and I must say, I’m not too sad to leave the little rides behind. He certainly fits the height requirement for most big things now. At Disney, he still likes many of the little rides, because they are just so well done. So there, he’s still good with the little stuff. But, at places like Six Flags, etc., he wants to only do “big kid” rides.
Yay for hair styling!! I got really into hair starting in about 1st grade. I loved to do hair, and I still do to this day! So fun that Malia is doing it and experimenting with it. That is the part about not having a girl that I miss. I go to all my friends with daughters “can I borrow her head?” haha!
