Talk about all things sports – Basketball, Football, Golf, Olympics, Hockey and more.
January 8, 2017 at 1:17 pm #3672Feel bad for the Raiders. My family still roots for them, so we are bummed they couldn’t capitalize on their good season. Rooting for the Falcons all the way. My dad is die hard Green Bay of course, so I root for them after the Falcons. We’ll see…
January 8, 2017 at 8:01 pm #3673Hoping for a Green Bay/Kansas City Super Bowl. 🙂 This season was rough since all of my least favorite teams did good. lol
January 11, 2017 at 7:45 am #3697Definitely rooting for Atlanta!! Go Falcons! But I will root for the Packers for my Dad as a back up.
February 6, 2017 at 7:56 am #3849Man, the Falcons loss was tough for us. It’s sad to see the whole city, and the crazy-serious fans so sad about it. Tough to be the losing city. Scott took the loss hard, and he NEVER does! Rhett went to bed at Halftime, and it was sad this morning to tell him the Falcons lost. He started tearing up a little bit, so I changed the subject quick. I’m a sports fan, yes, but I never get too emotionally invested in any of it. I feel like I would be sad and let down all the time if I did. It’s a defense mechanism 🙂 I was definitely sad about the loss. I had told Scott before the game, unless the Falcons are up by 40+ points, I will not feel secure against the Patriots. I just didn’t feel good about their lead, even when it was pretty big.
I seriously had flashbacks and similar feelings to election night. Very similar feelings and experience. The ramifications and seriousness aren’t quite the same, but the feelings were.
Sad 🙁
So ready for baseball to start! Not expecting the Braves to be good at all, but looking forward to the fun of it.
The Falcons are getting a new kick-ass dome stadium in 2017, which I hope to be able to see eventually. The Braves are supposed to open in their new stadium in mid-April, but it doesn’t look close to being done. Crazy to see how they pull it all together so fast.
February 6, 2017 at 10:39 am #3852Sigh – the Niners get me the same way. Their loss to Baltimore was heartbreaking so I get it. But I keep coming back for more.
Felt the same way when the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to loss to the damn Cavs.Sports.
But I love it and wouldn’t change a thing. lol
And as much as I hate it…..Tom Brady is too damn good.
February 7, 2017 at 5:21 am #3855Sigh, the Warriors. I had forgot about that.
Well, the Niners are inheriting Kyle Shanahan from us, right? He’s all yours! The more I thought about it yesterday, the more I did get upset with him, because I feel like his play calling was kind of crappy, especially in the 2nd half. It’s like the Falcons went away from everything that had worked for them before. Not a good thing. I couldn’t put my finger on it during the game, but afterwards, it was more obvious. Sigh.
February 7, 2017 at 9:30 am #3858LOL – yep – Shanahan is coming and yep, why he would call a pass instead of run the ball to stay in field goal range? Ugh.
But still – 25 point lead….that’s a team thing in the end.
May 2, 2019 at 12:25 pm #5883It’s a fun time for Bay Area Sports. Warriors are at it again & I’m happy. Sharks are at it again….and they beat the stupid Knights. For that alone, I’m already happy.
Now if only the Niners could find their way through a winning season.
May 2, 2019 at 6:09 pm #5885I haven’t been following basketball at all this season! That’s awesome the Warriors are in the mix again!
