So glad you guys started out the year that way! I think the beginning of the year is a good time to start too, because then you can take that year to get adjusted to all the new methods and systems, and then re-evaluate next year to see what works & what doesn’t. Plus, like you said, then you can get everything ready to sell or give away in the earlier part of the year.
Our closet is 100x better than it was! I was going to take photos but I’m having Mike install some shelves for my folded pants and purses. Ugh, if I could change out the carpet in there, I totally would. But that’s another day.
Malia’s dresser has so much more space. The bottom 2 drawers are empty now so she uses it to store her art supplies until we get a desk in there for her.
Max is still a work in progress. lol
My linen closet is 50% done. I organized the linens in baskets by room. Oh, it’s so neat and spacious. Towels and table cloths/curtains are next. The table cloths and curtains I’m putting into baskets that have lids & placing them at the top of the cabinets. Towels will be folded #konmari style into baskets. It’s already looking soooooo much better!
We filled the Pilot up with donations and dropped them off over the weekend. We have several bags that I’m saving up for the next garage sale….you know, to fund my basket collection. lol
Woot woot! Sounds awesome! Yesssss, all those darn baskets & containers add up in cost!
Okay – the day is here! I’m going to start tackling the reorganization of my kitchen. I’ve started tossing out expired goods to do a basic clearing of the shelves.
Next week, I’m taking absolutely everything out. Fingers crossed!
Good luck! That is a great project. It will be so rewarding and will pay off.
