Did anyone do any purging for the New Year?

I purge all year long, LOL! I purged toys right before New Year’s in anticipation of the influx of toys Rhett gets for the holidays.

LOL – I purge continuously too — especially the toys. Goodness!
I also purged unwanted or outdated holiday decor.

We’re finally giving Malia and Max dedicated spaces of their own. Maxim’s room has always been the “storage room”. I got rid of a ton of stuff in there to make room for his room in the closet. I moved out my bookcases into a common area to make room for his new dresser. His room is coming along nicely. Now he has shelves to store his books and toys too.

We did the same for Malia. She and Max were sharing a room before so we moved things around to make it her space. She LOVES it. Now she has a place to display her dolls and books. She spends move quality time in there instead of just getting dressed. It’s exciting for them. 🙂

I’m excited to see his new room! So fun that they have dedicated spaces. I think it makes kids proud. We encourage Rhett to show people his room when they come over, cuz he’s so proud of it and it gives him a sense that he has his own space in the house dominated by me.
