Haha! Well, I just could barely stomach the whole season, so I was glad this was the last episode so we could put the season out of its misery.
Yeah, you are right! The Ian native scenes, in fact all of those native scenes, were not gritty at all. And same here. I really like the moments in the book when Ian decides to stay with the natives, and all the emotion around it. Here, it was very rushed. Because the whole search was very rushed. We hardly got to see Jamie and Claire at all, let alone Ian. So, I didn’t feel as invested in the search and Ian staying as I did in the book. I am sad he’s gone for a while, and I can’t wait until he comes back again.
LOL Brianna running to Roger like GWTW. Haha! Yeah, that was definitely a cheese factory moment.
I really hope the next season spends more time showing the development & settlement of Fraser’s Ridge, and how Jamie is so torn about recruiting his settlers to fight in the Revolution. And how Claire sets up her surgery and is kept busy running it and developing better medicine and technology for herself. I really enjoyed all of that in the book, and I would like to get away from some of this soapy drama for a while, and back to the Jamie and Claire relationship stuff that makes it so special.
May 16, 2019 at 6:21 am #6009I finally gave up on my Outlander coloring book. It started to not be fun to color anymore. I really enjoy coloring, but I tend to like more colorful pictures and more variety. The Outlander scenes were boring to color. Too much gray and brown. I did not care for many of the drawings. It’s still a fun book to have in my library. I still like to color, but it’s more fun to color with Rhett and I prefer more fun pictures with lots of colors and shapes and really good drawings. I don’t think I like coloring people very much either. I did learn that about myself with this book 🙂
May 16, 2019 at 12:21 pm #6012That’s so cool though! What a great addition to have in your personal library.
May 16, 2019 at 2:53 pm #6013I have the Harry Potter coloring book. Doubt I’ll ever touch it. Its definitely not relaxing coloring. Mandelas are my favorite.
May 20, 2019 at 5:17 am #6015Yeah Abs, that’s like this one. It’s not really “relaxing.” It was more “work” than anything else. The dresses were the only thing I wanted to color 🙂 I’m definitely going to stick to more relaxing coloring, and not color people either. Rhett has some fun books to color, and we have fun coloring together (when I can get him to take a Lego break!!).
September 10, 2019 at 8:15 am #6351We have a date for the new season! I really hope I like this next season better than the last, so I am going in with an open mind and hoping for the best. I really enjoyed the Fiery Cross book, so I will look forward to seeing how they bring it to life, hopefully with not too many significant changes.
