Okay, I’ll probably be talking to myself cuz I’m not sure if anyone else reads these books or watches the show 🙂
Poldark killed it this season! I can’t believe there is only one episode left! Time flew this season! We got shirtless Ross in episode 1, and I knew all would be well haha! Every single episode was so good, and following the books so well. All of the characters have been really well done this season. I think there is only one season left, and I will definitely be sad to see this show go. There are many more books in the series to come that I haven’t gotten to yet, so that should keep me going for a while 🙂 In my reading, I am right where the show is.
This show has not once disappointed me. There was maybe only one or two episodes in season 2 that I didn’t love, and that’s it. Otherwise, this show has stayed en pointe. I have really enjoyed the evolution of Ross and Demelza’s relationship this season. Through all of their ups and downs, really seeing all of that, and seeing them work through everything. They are super cute in their love scenes together, and the scenes are great without being cheesy. OMG, seeing George constantly trying to claw his way to “the top” and so jealous of Ross and always going after him. Their dynamic is so entertaining.
I love the simplicity of the story and the show. It is both simple and easy, at the same time as being complex and detailed. So hard to explain, but it’s just so rare that I enjoy a show so much all the way around. The interpretation of the book, the characters, the story, the costumes, my gosh the scenery and locations are amazing!
I’m going to play catch up on this next week. I’m off so I’ll have a little more time on my hands. 🙂
Woo hoo! I have all the BluRays, even this season, but I refused to watch it yet because I’m trying to stretch it out to last longer by waiting for each Sunday 🙂
