January 15, 2019 at 8:59 am #5679Last Kingdom season 3 killed it! OMG, my 2nd fave show of ALL TIME nailed every episode. There wasn’t a minute of the entire season that I didn’t like. Alex D. is super charismatic and perfectly cast. He is so good-looking, he is super-easy on the eyes. I think he only took his shirt off like 1 or 2 times all season haha! All of the other actors are great. For a show that takes place in the Dark Ages, has tons of guts & gore, and is male-centric, the writing was so good. The battle scenes are amazing. The 2nd battle in actual snow, my goodness, it looked amazing. The dedication to these scenes with as little CGI as possible. The actors are very rarely doubled, they are just all so physical and believable. It is rare that a show or movie actually tricks me & I’m like DAMN! But, yeah, this season I was tricked by a couple of plot-points. I loved that!
In season 4, I would love to see some more female-kick-assness if possible. There are a few women characters on the show who have been great, and I love that they kick butt! I would love to see even more though. And, I would love to see more AD sans clothes, sigh! 🙂
February 27, 2019 at 2:52 pm #5796Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on Prime was a pretty decent CIA aaction show. And it’s only 8 episodes. I recommend it.
I loved Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It was different. Female lead was fabulous and deserved the award wins.
Any Prime TV recommendations? I don’t have Netflix at the moment..
February 28, 2019 at 5:16 am #5799I’m only watching 1 show right now. All of my other shows have ended for now! I’ve been watching lots of old stuff 🙂
February 28, 2019 at 10:37 am #5802I only really watch the Chicago Med/Fire/PD shows & Grey’s. I haven’t picked up anything new in awhile.
When I’m working on my computer, I stream old episodes of Grey’s on Netflix as background noise.April 19, 2019 at 12:43 pm #5852Knightfall season 2 really isn’t too good so far, but I still enjoy watching for the most part. I think the writing and the production value just isn’t as good as it could be. The history is so rich and drama-filled as it is, I really don’t like when they make up random, unrealistic plot-points. On a cool note, Mark Hamill playing a grizzled old Knight Templar is kind of cool. It’s weird seeing him wield an actual sword and not a light saber haha!
May 20, 2019 at 5:27 am #6017The Knightfall last episode was okay. The historical inaccuracies aside (I’m sure Prince Louis & DeNogeret did not just walk out on King Philip, I’m sure a Templar did not kill King Philip!), the future of the Templars could be exciting. Their work after they got expelled from Paris is stuff of lore & mystery. It is said some even went to Scotland & fought for Robert the Bruce. I would love to see that. I want to see that ship go West! There is so much potential in this show, it just keeps falling short as it gets silly with the history. I hope they do something cool in Season 3, or I just don’t see it surviving into a 4th Season. I want to see Tom Cullen be a little more charismatic. He has it in him & I feel like it needs to come out. And please bring back Mark Hamill. I liked him a lot!
July 18, 2019 at 6:19 pm #6228Are you all watching Big Little Lies season 2? Only one more episode left. I can’t say I’m a huge fan. Just continued with it after the first season. I really enjoy all of the actresses, so that propels me to continue watching. As for the actual story line. Yeah, just not a fan. It’s such ratcheted up chick drama. If I wanted to see that, I’d watch GH again. My fave part though, is watching Laura Dern go off on her curse-filled rants, especially at her dumb ass husband. That woman literally says almost every f-bomb I am thinking haha!
July 24, 2019 at 6:04 pm #6237The Witcher looks stupid as heck, but Henry is in it, so I might have to force myself to watch it at some point. I love him and all, but it’s gonna take a lot to make me sit through it…
