So exciting that Malia is rocking her bike riding! That is such a fun milestone!!
Rhett and I have had a great week together. He is feeling all better. Just ended up having a random cold with fever. We have been hanging out & reading a ton. He had his first golf match this week. Today is a pool day, so he’s excited about that.
June 23, 2019 at 8:40 pm #6158I feel like I’ve been living with a perpetual headache. I wonder if it’s the heat. Plus, i haven’t been sleeping well at all. Ugh. I’m so over it. Life, of course, goes on so I’m still ushering the kids around. Blech
June 24, 2019 at 6:05 pm #6178Headaches suck! Hope you are feeling better this week. I really feel for people who suffer migraines. I don’t know how they do it. Most of my headaches fall into 2 categories-sinus pain usually caused by allergens or being sick, and hormones. Usually, normal over the counter meds do the trick.
August 13, 2019 at 11:28 am #6279So darn exhausted. I didn’t think our summer would be so crazy. Lots of business travel, activities and stuff. Just lots of stuff.
August 18, 2019 at 10:02 pm #6289We’re in the final stretch before school starts. It’s fun seeing both kids deal with it in their own way. Malia is really looking forward to seeing her friends again. Max is a little more nervous since he loved his TK teacher. I know that Mrs. T’s son will be in the same class as him so he’ll be happy about that. And he has the same Kinder teacher that Malia had. Love having a little behind the scenes influence.
Malia will have a craaaazy schedule this year. Swim M-F, minimum 3 days a week. Hula 2x a week. Run club 2x a week. And gymnastics. I think gymnastics will be the one that eventually gets dropped. Swim is going to take up a lot of her time & energy.
Max has actually taken to boxing. We’ve kept him exposed to the gym & coach the last couple of weeks. Now that he’s comfortable, he’s a little more relaxed and ready to participate. It’s at the same gym where we take hula & the same boxing coach that I have. I don’t necessarily want him to spar, but it’s a great activity and gives him an outlet for his emotions. I hope to eventually transition him to Muay Thai so he can learn how to defend himself as well as build up his confidence.
August 21, 2019 at 1:12 pm #6307Good luck with back to school! Such an exciting, and busy, time!!
August 21, 2019 at 2:09 pm #6313Now that school is starting up again, I feel like I have a little more breathing room.
Wow, summer was crazy, wasn’t it?
Though I’m sure once all the activities kick into gear, I’ll be a hot mess again.September 10, 2019 at 8:03 am #6348We made our annual Labor Day weekend trek to the big book festival in the Atlanta area. It was fun! Rhett and I got several cool books at great prices. If it wasn’t so hot here, we would have stayed longer!
October 1, 2019 at 12:51 pm #6417I’m sooooo tired! OMG the Femme Royale Competition completely wiped me out. 3 days later, my body is still working out the kinks and aches…and I’m just exhausted.
But what a great experience!
October 7, 2019 at 6:04 am #6433Yay! So great that you did that. That will be a fun memory to have.
