Fire season is here and with the past tragedies – we are looking at 4-7 days without power. Oy! We’re expected to have high winds, low humidity and lots of dry land which equates to PG&E shutting off power. Our county is one of the counties impacted so schools, businesses and homes may be without power.
Hoping the winds will shift or there’s a change in forecasts. But we’re still preparing, just in case. #newnorm
October 22, 2019 at 5:00 am #6481Hope everyone is doing well! I have just been busy with life, reading, and just the usual stuff. I do as little social media as I can, and I have found an online community of like-minded classic film lovers, so have been spending my minimal social media energy there. I still check in here from time-to-time though, as my reading is always a top priority.
What’s going on with your power situation Mary? Will you guys have more power outages to come? I hope not! Ugh! What a pain.
Rhett’s baseball season is almost over, so we’ll reclaim a little bit more of our life back soon 🙂 Our construction is almost complete. There are a few more finishing touches to go, and then I will order furniture. Yay! We got the TV up on the wall, and let’s face it, that’s all Scott cared about 🙂 Cuz we really need another TV in the house haha!!!

October 22, 2019 at 1:46 pm #6486It’s the busiest time of the year for me for photography. Luckily, I only do local shoots so they’re not full day excursions.
We’ve finally adjusted to the management of all the kid’s activities. it helps me organize my own time now that I know where and what to do.Our kitchen is in full renovation mode now. Hoping that won’t take too long. Fortunately we don’t spend a lot of time in the kitchen so it’s all good.
Always good to have you check in. of course, I love having you around beyond books so I hope you’ll check in more often.
October 22, 2019 at 6:08 pm #6488Good luck with the kitchen! That is so exciting!!
October 25, 2019 at 11:48 am #6502Welp, we’ve got another round of power outtages coming up. This one I totally get with the winds projected to be really bad this weekend & the ongoing fire in Sonoma County. It’s definitely a new norm for us.
November 1, 2019 at 9:27 am #6517NOthing motivates my child more than the prospect of candy. lol She walked much more for Halloween than previous years.
Max decided that passing out candy was more fun so he stayed home. 🙂November 9, 2019 at 6:52 am #6530Candy is the best! It was chillier here than it ever has been on Halloween since Rhett was born. We walked a pretty good amount, but not as much as we would have liked to. Rhett has so much fun with it! Now we are on candy overload!
December 11, 2019 at 9:14 am #6560This holiday season is moving way too fast! Having Thanksgiving at the end of the month really shortened the Christmas window. Plus the weekends are always so jam packed, it’s hard for us to get anything done.
I hope everyone is doing well!
December 12, 2019 at 12:37 pm #6564I can’t believe it is almost 2020! Just wow!! It is so difficult with us both having holiday birthdays, plus doing Christmas plus Hanukkah (while Rhett is young). Plus New Years. And I’m at school volunteering almost every day the weeks leading up to break. It’s so crazy! Time flies!!
