It’s not often that I get to venture into downtown Napa outside of the occasional work event. This last weekend, we corralled the family and attended the Light the Night Event with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It was a wonderful event to attend with local restaurants participating and providing food to the attendees. Live music was playing and the air was filled with a great, positive energy.
When the yellow lanterns were lifted up high, I couldn’t help but get teary-eyed as the speaker shared that that these yellow lights shined for those that passed on from cancer.
Or the white lights for those who are living with it.
— and more light of hope for those who walked along side to help find a cure.
The night was so inspiring and as I looked back on the riverside trail and saw the lights shining as one, it was so heart warming and inspirational to be a part of it.
You can do your part in helping to find a cure by making a small monetary donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Here is my earlier blog post about my participation with my company. As a team, we raised over $7,000. Be a bright light and make a donation to this wonderful society.
