I was at a birthday party last weekend in breezy Daly City. The park happened to have a field of flowers that called out to me to photograph. We walked over and I was happy to see the sun sitting just behind this field and a large fog bank moving past it with the wind. The fog was thinner than clouds so it let the sun light through just enough to rim the kids hair from behind.
I loved it!
Since there was a walking trail that cut through the field, I decided to get down at a lower angle to hide it, giving the illusion of a wide open field.
I let the kids engage as they would. Malia loves picking flowers so it was a dream come true for her. Maxim is still getting used to the sensation of grass so he was curious and a little wary of the prickly sensation on his leg.
Mommy was just happy to get a shot of them together.
Adorable picture!
