I love adding photographic touches to gifts. For my son’s baptism we created these succulent favors as a gift to our guests. They were delighted to have an adorable photo if Maxim smiling back at them, as well as take home a living plant to enjoy over and over. I liked knowing that this little token of appreciation wouldn’t end up sitting in a corner cabinet or shelf collecting dust.
Succulent favors are a wonderful gift of thanks to give to your party guests and are so easy to make.
Succulent Favors: What You’ll Need
- mini terra cotta pots (I got mine at Michaels)
- potting soil
- succulents (I bought a wide variety to mix and match)
- wallet size photos
- craft sticks
- personalized stickers (I ordered my stickers from moo.com)
I was fortunate to find a clearance rack at the local Lowe’s. Many of the succulents were as low as $0.25 each and several of them had multiple branches that I could split up and use in a separate favor.
What are some of your favorite ways to use succulents?
These are really cute!! They make a great keepsake…much better than a card that will get thrown away!
They were very popular. 🙂 I loved visiting a friend or family member and seeing his little plant growing in their homes.
First of all, those pics are precious! And secondly I love this idea…such a personal idea!
Thank you so much! I also love the idea of giving a gift that won’t just collect dust or get thrown away. 🙂
Hahah! I love the photos SO much. What an adorable son you have! The plant idea is really cool, too. I’m sure that was really fun for your guests!
Thanks so much Natalie! He’s my chunky monkey. 🙂
I loooove your shots! Plus this great idea of party favors are so adorable and affordable! They won’t go to waste even after the party!
