On the second day of Blogmas, your blogger brings to thee…..
2 Acts of Kindness
and a brand new Chrrrrrissstmas Treee!
I don’t know about you but I’m loving this 12 Days of Blogmas, aren’t you?
In the spirit of the holidays, day 2 focuses on kindness. We’re very keen on kindness all year long, but the holiday season certainly brings out more random acts of kindness. One of the things I like to do during the holiday season is “Pay it Forward”. I’ll pay for the Starbucks bill for the person behind me or buy a meal for someone at McDonalds (yes, I go there often for their hot fudge sundaes). I’ve gotten this done for me on more than one occasion and it’s so nice. I like the idea of starting someone’s day like this..
In general though, my husband and I work hard to instill kindness in our children and always display it towards each other. That comes with love and mutual respect. I’ve taught my kids early on to say their prayers, share their thanks and express their love to God. I love ending each day with that kind of goodness. And it’s important for me to teach them that their is a reason for this season. The other night, Malia sat in front of her toy box and started piling toys next to her. She then turned to me and said “Mommy, I don’t need these. Maybe another girl can play with them”. This girl could have asked me for anything in that moment because I was so proud of her. I’m so very happy that even at 3 years old, she’s learning about generosity and good will.
Keep spreading the love this holiday season.

This is so sweet! I love when little children are so generous and giving. You are raising her right for sure!
I love this! I really like the way you started off your post too. 🙂 I’m a big believer that small acts everyday are the best kind of kindness! Glad you’re teaching that to your children!
Oh my goodness, how sweet! Your daughter has definitely been taught well 🙂
