It looks like Malia is starting to get a handle on her senses.
I think her sense of smell is pretty acute. I mean, she certainly knows when momma’s milk is nearby.
She loves to touch fabrics and can often be seen rubbing her daddy’s sweater in fascination. Or pulling at her blanket. Hmmmm, baby blankets are so soft!
Her eyes track movement (and can now fully appreciate the mobile in her crib and play pen). Her hands are her latest discovery. I love watching her observe them; flipping them around trying to figure out their purpose. Then of course, jamming it into her mouth. Ha!
I’m not sure how her sense of taste is developing, but she loves jamming things into her mouth. Oy, she’s definitely discovered the taste of her them because I see her sucking on it much more than her pacifier. It’s going to be quite the task to keep her hands clean.
The sound of her Lola’s voice brings smiles to her voice. And as her hearing develops, it seems like she’s starting to distinguish the voices of her family. I, for one, LOVE hearing the sound of her voice. Here’s a video clip of her ‘talking’ to daddy. (Please excuse my burst of delighted laughter. It’s hard for me to contain my joy sometimes. LOL)
