Summer is officially underway – though it’s felt like it started much earlier with the early onset of those California heat waves. I’m excited to spend this summer participating in the Summer Blogger Challenge – hosted by Charlotte at Velvet and Vinyls.
To kick-off the summer season, here’s my summer bucket list:
- Project Backyard: Create an escape in our backyard. Phase I has started. Now I hope to work on the details.
- Host a backyard movie night
- Eat outdoors
- Sleep in a hammock
- Celebrate my 6th Wedding Anniversary
- Attend a movie at the park night
- Hike
- Go to the beach
- Lose 10 pounds
- Read Written in My Own Heart’s Blood: A Novel (Outlander)
- Complete Written in My Own Heart’s Blood by the end of summer
- Make my own popsicles
- Discover new summer drink recipes
- Dig my toes into the Maui sand
- Celebrate my son’s 1st birthday
How do you plan on spending your summer? What’s on your bucket list? #SummerBloggerChallenge
I think hosting a back yard movie night sounds really neat. I have been to ones at the park back when my town has done them and also at the beach.
How fun! I think the beach would be a great place to watch a movie!
One of the things on my bucket list this summer was to go stand up paddle boarding…and I went yesterday!
I love paddle boarding! I went for the first time in Hawaii. Once I got my balance, it was great to explore the waters. Where did you go paddle boarding?
Hey making popsicles was on my list too! Hahah. When I was a kid we used to make popsicles out of Kool-Aid, but now I want to try out some new and better ideas!
My mom used to make a puree of avocado, sugar and cream. It’s one of my favorite memories as a kid and one that I plan on recreating for mine. I’m excited to try out some new stuff. 🙂
Backyard movie nights sound dreamy! I wish I had a yard instead of living in a condo…well, I can still dream! I have popsicle molds and never use them….I guess this is the time to try!
Hi Maryrose!
Hosting a backyard movie night sounds fun! I’ve never been/hosted one. You gave me an idea!
Enjoy the summer!
love, Polly
ps: that fruit yogurt popsicle looks yum! I’ll try to make my own. Thanks for sharing! <3
