The weather has been pretty dreary in Northern California lately. Mother Nature decided to end the California drought by unloading years of rain into one month. While it’s good for the state, it’s made our winter days pretty dreary.
When the sun finally made a brief appearance, we strapped on our shoes and made our way to one of our favorite family parks.
Magnolia Park, Vacaville California
Magnolia Park in Vacaville, California is a relatively new park. It includes 2 large play structures for toddlers and bigger kids, a splash pad, clean restrooms, great open space and plenty of picnic tables. You can reserve tables as needed with the city, making it a great park for parties. It’s also one of the few parks that has restrooms.
I personally love the play structures at this park. They’re great for climbing and jumping; giving my kids different opportunities to get quality play time in. The park is frequented by a lot of families but because of all the space, it never feels crowded. I’ve never feel like the kids are getting run over.

Never fear climbing those mountains! I love taking the kids to the park and seeing them gain more confidence as they run and climb the structures. It’s one of my favorite things about living in Solano County.
