Welcome to another installment of the 5 on 5 project where 5 photos are shared on the 5th of every month. This monthly blog circle will connect you to other photographers who are participating in the project. After reading this month’s installment, I invite you to continue through the circle. Check out what’s going on with Beth this month
When I thought about this month’s blog post, I wanted to capture something “ordinary”. Our Sunday afternoon trips to Target came to mind almost immediately. Every Sunday, right before the Sunday Night Football game, we head out to Target for a quick (okay, not so quick) shopping trip to grab our weekly needs and just to shop.
Of course, the kids have to make a beeline to the toy section.
Malia could stand in front of the princesses for the entire visit if she had the notion. She loves Rapunzel and Ariel.
I’m more in awe at how much pink can exist in just one aisle. Yikes!
Maxim, on the other hand, loves his trains and automobiles. And just like at home, he’ll quietly sit and line up the cars in a straight, organized line. If he really had his way, he’d have his cheek to the floor, lazily rolling a train or car in front of his face. But mommy has to set SOME boundaries.
Thankfully, I was able to pull them away from their beloved toy aisle with minimal drama. At least this week.

I love that you did this at a store. I have never been brave enough for it, so you get massive props for that! That is so cute how he lined up all the cars and trucks!
I normally wouldn’t but it was relatively quiet there that day – at least for Target standards. 🙂
