I’ve been reading a lot of business & self-help books lately. I’m hoping to throw in some fiction soon.

I seriously want to start counting the books I read with Rhett haha! They add up!! Do you know how many damn Dog Man and Captain Underpants books I’ve read?!? 🙂 We are reading How To Train Your Dragon with him because it is a little harder. He’s reading Magic Treehouse Merlin Missions by himself, and I’m like, wait, I want to read that too 🙁

You totally should! Keep a separate list! My nephew is reading Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter). I’m beyond thrilled he’s loving the series. I’m tempted to reread the series with him. Can’t believe he’s going to be 9 in April.

I just bought an item on EBay for a cleaning project I’m doing. While on the site, for kicks I looked at my purchase history. OMG, the amount of books I used to buy on EBay/half.com!! My goodness, it’s hard to even remember having that much time to read all those books. Looking at the purchase history was a visceral reminder of how much I once read compared to now. Once I became pregnant & became a mom, my reading habits changed so much, that it’s sometimes hard to remember the old-reading days!

I find myself drawn into Russian history stories. I’m reading “I was Anastasia“ and it sent me online looking up more info on the Romanov family.

    Interesting read so far!

Oooh, that sounds cool. I enjoy Russian history, especially approx. from 1500 forward. I enjoy learning about it. Girl, don’t make me add another book to my TBR pile haha!

The series we read that was based on Russian folk tales definitely peaked my interest. I tend to focus on English history & know very little about Russia. Definitely very interesting!

I just wrapped up Shadow on the Crown by Patricia Bracewell. I enjoyed it a lot. It was a nice change to the Tudor era. I did the audible version and the narration was wonderful. I’m going to move on to the second book in the trilogy.

When work stress gets to me, my answer is always to pick up my camera. I squeezed in a mid-week photo sesh with the kids to energize a different side of my brain. Tulip picking was an awesome escape for all of us 💐🌷

A couple times a week, my father in law swings by to tinker around our yard and sit with #emmittthefrenchie. His visits are just one of my %favorite things. He has a way of building connections in such quiet, non-intrusive ways.
