The weather was a warm one again here in the San Francisco Bay Area, so we decided to venture out to Vacaville to check out the new ice cream shop, Rita’s of Vacaville. It’s an Italian Ice Shop that serves a wonderful “gelati”. It’s an Italian Ice (similar to shaved ice or even a sorbet) then topped with a frozen custard. So yummy!
I went with the Mango Italian Ice with Vanilla Custard – they put some of the frozen custard on the bottom, added the Mango and then topped again with the Vanilla Custard. Oh my, it was delicious. The creaminess of the custard with the iciness and fruity goodness of the mango was delicious. It took me back to Matsumoto’s Shave Ice in Hawaii – not exactly the same but still incredibly tasty.

Husband chose the Green Apple with Vanilla Custard topped with Caramel. Also very very good.
The kids had Strawberry Lemonade with the Chocolate custard. Oh yes, my daughter loved it too. And t Maxim had to fight his sister off of his own. 🙂
And of course, I had to take a photo of my sweet little girl in her OOTD (Outfit of the Day) and her Rita’s. Her she is in her favorite color, jean skort (so soft and comfy!) and her favorite Disney Princess Crocs.
Sounds like a fun day! Wish it were still warm here. Your daughter’s outfit is cute!
Those crocs are adorable!!! She probably never wants to take them off.
There was no separating her from them once she saw them. She loves them 🙂
They’re her favorite pair. She makes me want to get a pair for myself. 🙂
I still need to try that place!
It’s so yummy! 🙂
I need to try this place! I have never heard of it. Thanks for the suggestion!
I see you’re in my area! I hope we meet someday. 🙂
You must try it. It’s delicious!
